This event brings together around 75 Tastourians
On
the first Tuesday of every month, join us at a local wine bar to share ideas and
tastes with other oenological enthusiasts.
This
event attracts 50-75 wine lovers – it’s bigger and more informal than a guided
Tastour tasting. We go to a lot of effort to ensure that the venue is easy to
get to, the right environment is created and everyone mingles.
We not
just hosting a piss up... there’s an optional learning element
- ·Each guest will receive a wine
related question, with the answer on the back.
For example: How many pounds (or kilos) of grapes does it take
to make one bottle of wine?
The idea is the more people you meet, the more you can learn about wine.
We voted at the February social drinks and the vote was not to keep
score. (My competitive side felt defeated.)

There
will be a Wine Expert (not me, Kelly - the founder, as I am there to socialise) on hand to
answer your questions.

The
Wine Expert will also talk to you about the nights featured wine.
- ·
The
nights are themed, for example, one month all the questions will be about
Spanish Wine.

The official time is 7:30-9:30 but many will stay until 11-11:30
